COVID-19: Ramaphosa thanks frontline health workers

JOHANNESBURG – President Cyril Ramaphosa has thanked frontline health workers for their commitment, as the lockdown continues.

At least 44 government workers have tested positive for Coronavirus in Gauteng.

“Our frontline health workers are the real foot soldiers that we have to fight against this invincible enemy and we thank them, the country can’t thank them enough and I will continue to thank them and recognise them for the excellent work that they are doing”, said Ramaphosa.

Gauteng currently has 1,252 confirmed cases and eight deaths.

Ramaphosa, together with the provincial government visited several sites identified as COVID-19 quarantine facilities in the province.
